On Platinum and Silver it saves a reasonable amount. On Gold and Bronze it saves $21.40 across a whole year — about six and nine percent. That is a real number and it is not a lot.
If you want to commit for a stretch, the annual is where the saving actually is: it takes Platinum from $39.95 a month down to $24.92, which is less than the Silver monthly price for the full seventeen categories. If you would rather not commit at all, pay monthly — there is no penalty for it and no contract either way.
Every plan contains everything in the plan below it. Nothing is removed as you move up, so the only question is where you stop — not what you give up.
